Happy New Year - 2009
I have been getting gentle nudges from a few people about my blog still being empty. I guess you could say - my mind has been on other things. If I wasn’t paying attention to my husband, he made me sit up and take notice. With two stints placed in his heart just before Christmas, many things came to a stand still for a time. Curtis is doing very well, keeping busy and looking forward to our trip south.
Christmas came and we enjoyed being with family. The youngest, in the Johnson family, is just a year old now. She has a second cousin that came over for a visit and he is the same age. They are so cute together. Her older cousins enjoyed spending time and playing with her also. After Christmas, I felt Natalie needed a soft sock doll, so I just had to get busy and make "Hilda". She is made from two socks and some stuffing. A new adventure for me.
Curtis and I live on a farm in rural Northern Minnesota with our two cats, Claire and Blackie and our Cockatiel bird, Lizzie. They keep watch over us and keep us entertained. Curtis keeps busy with many projects around the farm and a personal interest in carving kubbestols. My interests are genealogy, knitting, quilting and taking pictures. This blog will be mostly about my projects and travels. Pour a cup of coffee and join me when you can.
Hope your 2009 is one of Good Health, Happy Stitching and Photo Opportunies.

Great blog, Becky. Hope you do what Leeanne does when you go south now.
